Multiple Inspection Projects for Kitchen Knife

In order to ensure that the cutting tools meet the quality requirements, we conducted multiple inspection projects and carefully examined all aspects of the tools. The summary of tool inspection items are as follows:

1.Appearance Inspection: Check the appearance quality of the cutting tool, including surface smoothness, color, shape, etc.

2. Dimensional Testing: Measure whether the size of the cutting tool meets the design requirements and standard regulations.

3. Hardness Testing: Hardness is a key indicator for measuring the resistance of tool materials to plastic deformation. In the process of tool testing, hardness testing can help us understand the wear resistance and impact resistance of tool materials. Generally speaking, the higher the hardness, the better the wear resistance and impact resistance, but it may also affect the sharpness and toughness of the tool. Hardness is directly related to the lifespan and wear resistance of cutting tools. Hardness testing uses a micro hardness tester to test the hardness of cutting tools and evaluate whether their hardness meets the requirements. Before testing, it is necessary to ensure that the surface is clean and free of scratches. Conduct hardness testing on the cutting tool using a hardness tester to determine its hardness value.

4. Material Composition Analysis: Composition analysis is the use of chemical analysis methods to detect the material composition of cutting tools and determine whether they meet the required composition requirements. This method can detect the content of different elements in the cutting tool. Usually, instruments such as spectrometers are used to analyze the material composition of cutting tools to determine whether their material meets the requirements.

5. Edge Sharpness Test: Sharpness is an important indicator for evaluating the cutting performance of cutting tools. Sharp cutting tools make cutting food easier while also ensuring the smoothness of the cutting surface. In the tool quality inspection report, the evaluation of sharpness is usually achieved by measuring the resistance of the tool cutting a specific object and the roughness of the cutting surface. Evaluate the sharpness of the cutting edge of the tool through cutting tests or microscopic observation.

6. Knife Handle Strength Test: Use a tensile testing machine to test the mechanical properties of the knife handle, such as tension and compression, to evaluate its strength and stability.

7. Blade Bending Resistance: Evaluate the bending resistance of the cutting tool blade through bending tests and other methods.

8. Blade Impact Resistance: Evaluate the impact resistance of tool blades through drop hammer impact tests and other methods.

9. Wear Resistance of Blades: By conducting grinding tests, wear tests, and other methods, the performance of cutting tools in friction and wear environments is tested to evaluate the wear resistance of blades.

10. Corrosion Resistance of Knife Blades: Evaluate the corrosion resistance of blades through immersion tests and other methods.

11. Material Properties of Handle: Conduct physical and chemical performance tests on handle materials to evaluate their quality and suitability.

12. Balance Testing of Kitchen Knives: Balance testing of cutting tools is conducted using equipment such as balancing machines to ensure their stability and safety during use.

13. Tool Life Assessment: Evaluate the tool's service life and durability through actual use and accelerated aging tests.

14. Tool Safety Assessment: Evaluate the safety performance of the tool, including cutting ability, protective measures, and other aspects.

15. Tool Handling Performance Testing: Evaluate the handling performance and comfort of the tool through practical operation and user experience.

The above are common testing items for kitchen knife. Due to the different items specified in different execution standards, we can choose the appropriate items for testing based on the product's execution standards.
